GeoConvention 2017 Welcomes Students!
GeoConvention 2017 is focused on developing the future of the industry and students are a part of the future. GeoConvention offers students an exciting opportunity to learn and network with top industry professionals. There are is a number of activities and programs designed to enhance the student experience at the convention.
Travel Assistance Program
The 2017 GeoConvention committee, along with its sponsors, is proud to offer the Student Travel Assistance Program again to attract greater numbers of students to the convention. Students on a limited budget may apply for a travel and accommodation grant that will make it easier to attend - Click for details
Students who volunteer a minimum of 8 hours will receive a $100 cash reimbursement for their time*. This initiative allows more students to network with industry professionals on the exhibit floor and in the technical sessions. Visit the volunteer page to find out more and sign up today.

Challenge Bowl is an action-packed geoscience quiz game for geological and geophysical student members. Teams from across Canada compete for the grand prize: an expenses-paid trip to the SEG convention to compete against the best from SEG chapters around the world! Cheer on your favourite team, marvel at their knowledge, share their enthusiasm and win fabulous door prizes!
The Industry/Student Luncheon will allow students to network with geoscience professionals, and learn more about the industry.
